Plate girder bridges are the most popular for crossing small features such as roads, creeks and other lines. Girder bridges come in basically two styles, the "Thru Girder" in which the bridge has girder walls and the "Deck Girder" where the girders are under the track. Maximum length is 28 inches and girder height not to exceed 3 inches. The default is 2.5 inches unless specified otherwise. For Double Track width add $5.00. Bridge arrives unpainted and in one piece for immediate installation. Please specify Angled Corners, Rounded Corners or Boxed Corners. Also specify even or odd number of Girders if this applies.
These styles are by far the most popular for crossing those longer spans. The Curve Chord Stlye tall majestic bridges sport a rounded or "arched" top with many vertical and angled beams just like the real thing. The Acordia Style as seen in the clip above is also a Curve Chord style, only without the vertical beams. Min. length is 4 feet for this style. If a smaller bridge is required, you may want to consider the Box Style, the Cable Stay or the River Runner to keep in scale for realism and beauty. Options are a billed flat fee regardless of the size of the bridge and include double track option (add $10.00) LED port & starboard (add $10.00) and lighted option with 2 12v DC light fixtures inside the bridge and ready for wiring. (Bulbs included)
Arch Deck Bridge $ 40.00 per ft.
The Arch Deck Bridgeis by far the strongest and most majestic of all the bridges in my opinion and my personal favorite. These bridges are famous for crossing between mountains and over rigerous terrain. Super strong, stable and lightweight, this bridge averages it's weight at 1.5 lbs per foot and can easily support 150 Lbs!
Minimum Length is 5 footlong with 4-6 inch rise per added foot length. Blinking red LED's with wiring can be added for $ 10.00. Double track option add $ 10.00 per bridge. Yes, these bridges can be connected to make for a double span, triple span and so on.
I'll custom build your design as well and consult you through all building stages of your bridge.
Most jobs average $ 35.00 per ft.
* Cost per foot based on complexity of design. Simple designs as low as $25 per ft. for Span bridge

There are two types of Truss style bridges. The "THRU-TRUSS" which the trusses are above the deck and look great crossing over smaller features such as creeks, crevaces and culverts as well as crossing over a lower track. The "DECK TRUSS" is a narrow deck style bridge in which the trusses are suspended below the deck and built for strength. The deck truss has a 1.5" extension on both ends so you can add more deck bridges together over a pillar to expand your empire.
