IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
Having a G-Gauge layout in the front yard as we do is an attraction for the residents of the community and passers by. Often I'm asked if they can watch and I never say no, I just lay down a few common sense ground rules and the fun begins. A highlight in my day.
As I watch the visitors watching the trains, I notice their attention is often diverted by some minor detail I've placed along the layout such as a road sign bearing the names of two towns named after my wife and I. Often times it's my little car wreck that gets the most attention along with the animated oil pump and of course my 25 foot long Cantilever Bridge is always a show stopper.
Once visitors and enthusiasts pick up on these obvious details their eyes wander noticing more subtle details such as actual guard rails, street signs, road signs, campers etc. Just the look on their faces and all of the kind comments I've received over the years is the thrill that keeps me going.

SIGNS
These are the actual signs I made over 5 years ago and still in use on the layout today.
Each road sign is made from brass sheeting and the posts are recycled HO scale brass track. The sign faces are outdoor grade reflective colors with hand painted messages and icons.
